ΓΙΩΡΓΟΣ (ΓΩΓΟΣ) ΠΕΤΡΙΔΗΣ
GIORGOS (GOGOS) PETRIDIS

Περιστατικά

1. Οταν ο Βασίλης Τσιτσάνης υπηρετούσε την στρατιωτική του θητεία στο τάγμα τηλεγραφητών στην Καλαμαριά και τα βράδυα έπαιζε μπουζούκι στο κέντρο "Καλαμάκι" στο Καραμπουρνάκι εκεί γνωρίστηκε με τον Γώγο, ο οποίος ήταν λάτρης του μπουζουκιού που έπαιζε επίσης και ο ίδιος. Και έδωσε το μπουζούκι του στον Τσιτσάνη και είχανε παίξει μαζί στο ίδιο κέντρο. Αλλά οι γονείς του του απαγόρευσαν να επιδοθεί στο όργανο αυτό και αυτός ακολούθησε μόνο την λύρα.

2. Κάποτε ο Γώγος έπαιζε σε έναν γάμο στα Γιαννιτσά. Και τότε ήρθαν κάποιοι που δεν τον είδαν ποτέ, και είπαν: "Για ας τερούμε ατός πα άμον εμάς άνθρωπος εν και παίζ αϊκον κεμεντζέν!"

3. Κάποτε ο Γώγος εμφανιζόταν με τον Χρύσανθο στο κέντρο "Η Μπουάτ του Νίκου". Τότε έτυχε να περάσει για δουλειές καλλιτεχνικές από την Θεσσαλονίκη ο Γιώργος Μανισαλής ο μουσικοσυνθέτης. Πέρασε απ' το κέντρο, και αφού παρακολούθησε όλο το πρόγραμμα τότε είπε: "Δυό πρακτικοί (μουσικοί) με εντυπωσίασαν στη ζωή μου μέχρι τώρα. Ενας Γάλλος που έπαιζε βιολί, και αυτός ο λυράρης ο Γώγος! "

4. Ο Γώγος επίσης συνεργάστηκε και με τον Χρήστο Νικολόπουλο όταν αυτός έκανε τα πρώτα του καλλιτεχνικά βήματα σε γάμους και άλλες εκδηλώσεις. Εκανε συναυλίες με τους Χάρρυ Κλυνν, Λιζέττα Νικολάου, και Κωστίκα Τσακαλίδη στην Αθήνα. Επίσης έλαβε και μέρος στην ελληνική ταινία Ματωμένη Γη με τους ηθοποιούς Λαυρέντη Διανέλλο, Ανέστη Βλάχο και Καίτη Θεοχάρη.

 

Events

1. When Vasilis Tsitsanis was serving his military term in the telegraph batallion in Kalamaria, he used to play bouzouki in the evenings at the club "Kalamaki" at Karabournaki. There he met Gogos, who was himself a admirer of the bouzouki instrument and played bouzouki himself. Gogos gave his bouzouki to Tsitsanis and they performed together at the club. Gogos' parents, however, forbid him to progress in this instrument and thus his career with the lyra followed. 

2. Gogos once played at a wedding in Giannitsa. A few people came up to him who had never met him before, and said (in Pontian): "Let's see if he is just a regular human like us and he can play kementze like that!"

3. Gogos performed at the club "The Bouat of Nikos" together with Chrisanthos. The composer Giorgos Manisalis happened to be in Thessaloniki at that time and had been at the club. After watching the entire show, he said, "There are two musicians in my life that have impressed me: a French violin player, and Gogos!"

4. Gogos performed together with Christos Nikolopoulos at the beginning of Nikolopoulos' career at wedding and other social events. He has performed in concerts in Athens with Harry Klynn, Lizetta Nikolaou and Kostikas Tsakalidis. He was also featured in the film "Matomeni Gi" (Bllody Soil) starring Lavrentis Dianellos, Anestis Vlahos and Katy Theohari.
