Γεννήθηκε το 1953 στο χωριό Ανωθος (Ηambaşi) της περιοχής Κατωχώρ (Ηaykara) του Πόντου. Μεγαλώνωντας στα παρχάρια του Πόντου αρχίζει από πολύ μικρός να παίζει φλογέρα. Πολύ γρήγορα, ξεχωρίζει στο είδος του και γίνεται πολύ γνωστός σ' όλη την Τουρκία και στο εξωτερικό. Συμμετέχει σε πολλά μουσικά τηλεοπτικά προγράμματα και έχει στο ενεργητικό του πολλές προσωπικές μουσικές δουλείες και άλλες τόσες συμμετοχές κοντά στους διάσημους τραγουδιστές της Τουρκίας. Η γνωριμία του με το σωματείο "Οι Μωμόγεροι" καθώς και με τον Κώστα Αλεξανδρίδη, συνετέλεσε στο να γίνει πλήρης καταγραφή της παράδοσης της Μαύρης Θάλασσας.

Kerim Aydin was born in 1953 in the village of Anothos (Ηambaşi) in the Katoxor region (Ηaykara) in Pontos. Growing up in the pastures of Pontos, he begins from a very early age to play the shepherd's pipe (flogera or siliavrin). In a short amount of time, he excels in his playing and become famous in and outside of Turkey. He participates in many musical television shows; he records many personal musical recordings as well as many participations with famous singers of Turkey. His meeting with the "Momogeroi" Society as well as with Kostas Alexandridis, brought upon a complete recording of the traditions of the Black Sea.
